SAFETY ROPE KIT |
| In the event of a chute collapse, a chute
system could fall away from the building in the
way that a tree falls when cut at the trunk. To
prevent the chute from falling in such a way, the
use of a Safety Rope Kit is recommended. The kit
consists of a wire cable with a nylon rope and
several free sliding clips. In the event of a
collapse, the chute system is forced to fall the
length of the nylon rope, thus keeping it
close to the building.
The Way It Works:

| • The cable is anchored to a 5000 lb.
capacity anchor above the planned chute height. |
| • The rope complete with clips is lowered
to the ground. |
| • As the chute system is raised &
added to, a clip is attached at 3 section
intervals. |
| • The clips will slide up the rope,
rising with the chute sections they were attached
to. |
| • The last clip is attached to the last
chute section. |
| • If a collapse occurs,
the chute will fall along the rope, into a heap
on the ground. |
